I loved writing part 4 of the Sugarloaf Trailblazers series for XTERRA, because I got to chat with Paul Jenkins from Maui (68 years old), Dan Holbrook from TN. (75 years old), and Tom Miller (81 years old), who have all qualified for the XTERRA Trail Run World Championships this fall!

Best quote is from Dan: “They say that growing old is like frying bacon in the nude – you know it’s going to hurt, but you don’t know where. So true.”

“What I do know is that running trail races for decades has prepared me to deal with all of life’s issues with gratitude, endurance, and resilience. I’m blessed by being a runner and by the community of runners.”
