In part 3 of the Sugarloaf Trailblazers series for XTERRA, I spoke with Lisa Currier, a 44-year-old mother of three, and Christine Doran, a 55-year-old mother of three.

Trail running has helped both women to deal with trauma in their lives. For Lisa, it was the loss of a newborn, a miscarriage, and a divorce, followed by the loss of her mother to Parkinson’s disease. For Christine, it was the loss of both parents to cancer. Both Lisa and Christine have used their platforms as runners to raise money for their respective causes on the journey to the Trail Run World Championship.
